A word from the Vine Trust...
Vine Trust is fundraising in aid of Vine Trust's Amazon Hope Medical Programme in Peru.
Amazon Hope Medical Expeditions enable volunteers to make a real and lasting difference to communities living on the Peruvian Amazon. Working in partnership with our in-country clinical teams, volunteers provide primary healthcare services to remote and isolated riverine communities, aboard our fully-equipped medical vessel the Forth Hope. Vine Trust Medical Expeditions provide free, life-changing clinical testing, treatment and education to communities who would otherwise have little or no access to basic healthcare.
Donations made through this page will contribute towards the maintenance and development of the Amazon Hope Medical Programme.

Fundraising Activity
For 25 years, The Amazon Hope Medical Programme has been bringing essential healthcare to some of the most remote communities along the Amazon River in Peru. For people living in these communities, access to healthcare is often incredibly difficult. There are no roads connecting many villages to larger towns and hospitals. Instead, healthcare has to come to them, travelling by boat along the vast network of rivers that connect these isolated communities.
For a quarter of a century, the Amazon Hope ships have made that journey. Our provide free consultations, treatment, medicines, health education and vital support to people who need it most.
This year, we are incredibly proud to celebrate 25 years of Amazon Hope. That milestone would never have been possible without the extraordinary generosity of the Vine Trust community. From the people who have donated over the years, to the volunteers who have travelled to Peru, the medical teams who have served on board, our partners and everyone who has shared Amazon Hope's story - thank you.
But the journey isn't over. As we celebrate 25 years, we are looking ahead to the next 25. Over the past year, the cost of operating our medical ships has increased significantly due to challenging global economic conditions. One of the biggest pressures has been the rising cost of fuel, something we simply cannot do without. When fuel costs rise, the cost of every journey rises too. At the same time, the cost of medical supplies, equipment and other essential operating costs have also increased.
We need your help to meet these rising costs. We have set ourselves a target of £20,000 to help meet the increased costs of running Amazon Hope.
So, as we celebrate this incredible milestone, please help us look to the future.
