A word from the Vine Trust...
Jessica is fundraising in aid of Vine Trust's Amazon Hope Medical Programme in Peru.
Amazon Hope Medical Expeditions enable volunteers to make a real and lasting difference to communities living on the Peruvian Amazon. Working in partnership with our in-country clinical teams, volunteers provide primary healthcare services to remote and isolated riverine communities, aboard our fully-equipped medical vessels, Amazon Hope 2 and Forth Hope. Vine Trust Medical Expeditions provide free, life-changing clinical testing, treatment and education to communities who would otherwise have little or no access to basic healthcare.
Donations made through this page will contribute towards the maintenance and development of the Amazon Hope Medical Programme.
Many thanks for supporting Vine Trust – together we are helping to support vulnerable communities through effective and sustainable development.

Fundraising Activity
Dear family, friends and work colleagues; as many of you know I’m having a career break due to my husband Sam’s 3 year posting in New York. Turns out USA does not accept the GMC medical licence so I’ve got myself some free time…, So I’m taking this opportunity to do some work for charity helping deliver healthcare to remote Peruvian communities who live on the Amazon river. I’ll be flying to Iquitos in Eastern Peru to join The Amazon Hope medical ship for 3 weeks providing clinics to those who live in some of the remotest parts of Peru. It’s a way of using my doctor skills to make a difference in providing primary care to communities in a sustainable way.How I'm raising money
A donation no matter how big or small will help go towards funding the ship, its local crew and the Peruvian medical team. It will also cover costs incurred in preparing for this voluntary work including my rabies/yellow fever/typhoid/tetanus/hepatitis A vaccines.Share this page
