A word from the Vine Trust...
Gabriella is fundraising in aid of their Vine Trust School Expedition to Tanzania. Vine Trust School Expeditions are an opportunity for students to make a real and lasting difference to Tanzanian communities living in poverty. Working closely with our in-country partners, volunteers construct individual family homes for some of the world's most vulnerable people - providing shelter, security and hope, and empowering communities to achieve a brighter future.
Donations made through this page will contribute towards the cost of Gabriella 's expedition, including international flights, accommodation, food, in-country transport, and the purchase of construction materials and resources. Any additional funds raised will go towards future Vine Trust construction projects and the development of Vine Trust's programmes.

Fundraising Activity
I want to go on this trip because the idea of contributing to a project that gives families a safe place to live truly inspires me. I know the work will be challenging, but that’s part of what draws me in. On a personal level, this cause means even more to me because my papa also grew up in Africa in very poor conditions, without access to many essentials. All he would have wanted was for someone to come and help his community, to give them a chance at a better life. So I feel a deep connection to helping others in situations like his. I know he would be proud of me for wanting to do this. Going to Tanzania isn’t just about travel, it’s about learning from others, experiencing a new culture, and coming back home with a stronger sense of compassion and purpose.
How I'm raising money
To raise money for the school trip to Tanzania, I plan to host a charity football games combined with a bake sale, and possibly include a raffle to boost fundraising efforts. Since I already volunteer at the west Linton under 10s football as part of my Duke of Edinburgh volunteering, I’m thinking of reaching out to my volunteer leader to see if they’d be interested in organising a fundraising match, I’m sure she would be delighted to help with this great cause. This event would not only help gather funds but also raise awareness about the community we’ll be supporting, making it a meaningful and fun way to contribute. I will also be doing some work with my school to raise money.
