A word from the Vine Trust...
Tadd is fundraising in aid of their Vine Trust School Expedition to Tanzania. Vine Trust School Expeditions are an opportunity for students to make a real and lasting difference to Tanzanian communities living in poverty. Working closely with our in-country partners, volunteers construct individual family homes for some of the world's most vulnerable people - providing shelter, security and hope, and empowering communities to achieve a brighter future.
Donations made through this page will contribute towards the cost of Tadd's expedition, including international flights, accommodation, food, in-country transport, and the purchase of construction materials and resources. Any additional funds raised will go towards future Vine Trust construction projects and the development of Vine Trust's programmes.
Many thanks for supporting Vine Trust – together we are helping to support vulnerable communities through effective and sustainable development.
Please note: Vine Trust does not accept responsibility for the fundraising activities of persons fundraising in aid of their expedition or the Trust. Any views expressed on this page are solely those of the named fundraiser and/or their donors, not Vine Trust.
Fundraising Activity
I am raising this money so that I can make a real difference in people's lives. These families are in the world's poorest economy and they just don't have the resources to live in a healthier and safer environment. These homes would provide an overall better life. I want to be a part of this in any way that I can. I want to be able to provide these families with their best chances of success within their community. To be able to give them a roof over their head and the feeling of safety would be an amazing achievment. I also want to pursue a carrer in architecture and this once in a lifetime experience would offer me the chance to not only gain experience but a unique persepective in how building homes is more than just bricks.
How I'm raising money
So far I have held a coffee and sweets morning which included a lucky squares, home bakes, and a local raffle. I have also been helping out the local communities by doing odd jobs which has provided a temporary job twice a week. I have sold my own art work and have also helped out with the school's group fundraisers. I am also going on a sponsored 27 mile bike ride. Every penny that I have recieved from birthdays, holidays and allowances have also gone towards the trip.
