A word from the Vine Trust...
Sophie is fundraising in aid of their Vine Trust School Expedition to Tanzania. Vine Trust School Expeditions are an opportunity for students to make a real and lasting difference to Tanzanian communities living in poverty. Working closely with our in-country partners, volunteers construct individual family homes for some of the world's most vulnerable people - providing shelter, security and hope, and empowering communities to achieve a brighter future.
Donations made through this page will contribute towards the cost of Sophie's expedition, including international flights, accommodation, food, in-country transport, and the purchase of construction materials and resources. Any additional funds raised will go towards future Vine Trust construction projects and the development of Vine Trust's programmes.

Fundraising Activity
In June 2019, I will be going out to Tanzania for two weeks with the Vine Trust Tanzania Home-Building Programme. The trip will involve helping to build houses for some of the most deprived people in the developing country, as well as spending time with and getting to know the community in Moshi. Working with the people of Tanzania will be a real privilege for me and will hopefully be a great blessing in their lives, encouraging them to have a hope for the future.
How I'm raising money
From bake sales and selling products to busking and beetle drives, over the next year, I will be doing various events to raise money for my trip, even going a whole month without eating chocolate! Donations are also enormously appreciated directly to this fundraising site over the next months to support my trip and the building of houses for vulnerable Tanzanian families.
