A word from the Vine Trust...
James is fundraising in aid of their Vine Trust School Expedition to Tanzania. Vine Trust School Expeditions are an opportunity for students to make a real and lasting difference to Tanzanian communities living in poverty. Working closely with our in-country partners, volunteers construct individual family homes for some of the world's most vulnerable people - providing shelter, security and hope, and empowering communities to achieve a brighter future.
Donations made through this page will contribute towards the cost of James's expedition, including international flights, accommodation, food, in-country transport, and the purchase of construction materials and resources. Any additional funds raised will go towards future Vine Trust construction projects and the development of Vine Trust's programmes.
Many thanks for supporting Vine Trust – together we are helping to support vulnerable communities through effective and sustainable development.
Please note: Vine Trust does not accept responsibility for the fundraising activities of persons fundraising in aid of their expedition or the Trust. Any views expressed on this page are solely those of the named fundraiser and/or their donors, not Vine Trust.
Fundraising Activity
I am excited to be going to Tanzania with my school group and the Vine Trust. An important part of the trip is to help to build houses with the community and local builders. We will be providing materials as well as our time and enthusiasm. The fundraising will help support this project.
How I'm raising money
My friend Sam and I are cycling the length of Hadrian’s wall. I am baking and selling pretzels to order. I will also be taking part in a kilt walk in September. To prepare for our cycle we have been walking the Pentland hills and wild camping.
