A word from the Vine Trust...
Neil is fundraising in aid of Vine Trust.
Vine Trust is an international development charity which connects volunteers from around the world with sustainable and effective projects which support some of the world’s most vulnerable communities. Working closely with in-country partners, Vine Trust seeks to empower local people to achieve their full potential, through the provision of primary healthcare, secure accommodation, and social care and support.
To date, Vine Trust has provided over 2 million healthcare consultations on the Peruvian Amazon and Lake Victoria, Tanzania. Our partners and volunteers have also completed over 130 family homes in Moshi, Tanzania, as well as the first homes at Kazunzu "Village of Hope" on the shore of Lake Victoria, providing security, shelter and a brighter future for vulnerable children and families.
Donations made through this page will contribute towards the work of Vine Trust, including the upkeep and development of the charity’s international programmes.

Fundraising Activity
Over the last 10 years I have been very privileged to be invited each April to speak about Vine Trust to a small Boys Brigade unit at Colston Milton Parish Church, just outside Bishopbriggs. The lads collect their spare change every time they meet on a Friday night, and on my annual visit they always faithfully make a donation with the small amount they collect. I am always humbled by their ongoing commitment. A small group, without much means, from an area of high social deprivation, they and their leaders are always faithful in supporting Vine Trust. It has always struck me that it would be well nigh impossible for these kids to afford to come on our teams. I have recently been massively encouraged by the very generous support from a few private individuals to sponsor places for 3 young people from Colston Milton to come out this summer with Vine Trust. This Kiltwalk fundraising will help to top up those donations, giving these 3 young people the chance to come on our summer team, from 17 August - 1 September 2024 - and to have the experience of a lifetime. How I'm raising money
I am participating in the Glasgow Kiltwalk on 28th April 2024 (Big Stroll - 8:30am - walking 14.2 miles from Clydebank to Loch Lomond Shores).
