A word from the Vine Trust...
Chenoa is fundraising in aid of their Vine Trust School Expedition to Tanzania. Vine Trust School Expeditions are an opportunity for students to make a real and lasting difference to Tanzanian communities living in poverty. Working closely with our in-country partners, volunteers construct individual family homes for some of the world's most vulnerable people - providing shelter, security and hope, and empowering communities to achieve a brighter future.
Donations made through this page will contribute towards the cost of Chenoa's expedition, including international flights, accommodation, food, in-country transport, and the purchase of construction materials and resources. Any additional funds raised will go towards future Vine Trust construction projects and the development of Vine Trust's programmes.
Many thanks for supporting Vine Trust – together we are helping to support vulnerable communities through effective and sustainable development.
Please note: Vine Trust does not accept responsibility for the fundraising activities of persons fundraising in aid of their expedition or the Trust. Any views expressed on this page are solely those of the named fundraiser and/or their donors, not Vine Trust.
Fundraising Activity
I'm raising vital funds to help fund my trip to Tanzania where I will be helping to build a house for a family in need. I will be travelling in June 2024 and have to raise funds for the travel costs and building materials. I'm really excited about this opportunity to make such a difference to someone's life. I can't imagine what it is like to not have a house and am looking forward to being able to contribute the physical labour necessary to give one to a vulnerable family. This trip to Tanzania builds on volunteer work that I am already doing in my local community, where I help out at a charity called Stable Life who provide horse therapy for children and I am also a volunteer Young Leader with Cub Scouts.
How I'm raising money
I'm baking cakes, making and selling crafts, and convincing good family and friends to support this brilliant cause, so any contribution you could make would be very, very much appreciated! For an example of my work so far, have a look at the photo of my cat enjoying one of the catnip toys I made to sell around town! I have also committed to doing daily Duolingo lessons in Swahili in order to help me prepare for the trip.
