A word from the Vine Trust...
Mairi is fundraising in aid of their Vine Trust School Expedition to Tanzania. Vine Trust School Expeditions are an opportunity for students to make a real and lasting difference to Tanzanian communities living in poverty. Working closely with our in-country partners, volunteers construct individual family homes for some of the world's most vulnerable people - providing shelter, security and hope, and empowering communities to achieve a brighter future.
Donations made through this page will contribute towards the cost of Mairi's expedition, including international flights, accommodation, food, in-country transport, and the purchase of construction materials and resources. Any additional funds raised will go towards future Vine Trust construction projects and the development of Vine Trust's programmes.

Fundraising Activity
Shikamoo! That's Swahili for Hello! I will be travelling to Tanzania with a group of Millburn Academy students with the Vine Trust in June/July 2020. We will be supporting some of the most vulnerable children in the area by helping to build homes, which will help to provide a long term opportunity for these children of a vocation, a hope and a future. Many of the children the charity helps have lost their parents and family, and the homes that the trip fund and build are providing a secure future for these children and their siblings. The trip will involve a lot of hard work and commitment from our group, and what we are doing will make a huge difference to the community that we visit.
How I'm raising money
I am hoping to fundraise for this trip by getting a part-time job, dog walking and organising a number of events with friends and family to reach my target. * Fundraiser 1: Wine Raffle - closing date 30th November * * Fundraiser 2: Festive Mince Pie and Mulled Wine afternoon with friends and family 8th December * *Fundraiser 3: Ceilidh with friends and family on Saturday 21st March *
