A word from the Vine Trust...
Vine is fundraising in aid of Vine Trust's Home-Building Programme in Tanzania.
Vine Trust's Home-Building Programme enables volunteers to make a real and lasting difference to Tanzanian communities living in poverty. Working closely with our in-country partners, volunteers construct individual family homes and larger children’s homes for some of the world’s most vulnerable people - providing shelter, security and hope, and empowering communities to achieve a brighter future.
Donations made through this page will go towards Vine Trust construction projects in Tanzania and the development of Vine Trust's Home-Building Programme.
Many thanks for supporting Vine Trust – together we are helping to support vulnerable communities through effective and sustainable development.

To mark the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in 2017, the congregation of Kirk of Calder, which worships in a pre-Reformation building, has a vision of linking up with a project in the developing world, where age-old European differences are not recognised. We are doing this in a spirit of ecumenism, as a shared experience with our friends in the local Roman Catholic congregations, together with other local churches and community groups, thus marking the event as a celebration of the ways in which churches in the 21st century are working together in Christian unity to help some of the poorest people in the world.
How I'm raising money
In partnership with the Vine Trust, our vision is to link up with the people of Tanzania, in a project to build a safe home where 40 vulnerable children will be educated and cared for, by the autumn of 2017, a fitting way to mark the anniversary, bringing our local people together to work for the future well being of our friends in Tanzania.
