A word from the Vine Trust...
John is fundraising in aid of their Vine Trust School Expedition to Tanzania. Vine Trust School Expeditions are an opportunity for students to make a real and lasting difference to Tanzanian communities living in poverty. Working closely with our in-country partners, volunteers construct individual family homes for some of the world's most vulnerable people - providing shelter, security and hope, and empowering communities to achieve a brighter future.
Donations made through this page will contribute towards the cost of John's expedition, including international flights, accommodation, food, in-country transport, and the purchase of construction materials and resources. Any additional funds raised will go towards future Vine Trust construction projects and the development of Vine Trust's programmes.
Many thanks for supporting Vine Trust – together we are helping to support vulnerable communities through effective and sustainable development.
Please note: Vine Trust does not accept responsibility for the fundraising activities of persons fundraising in aid of their expedition or the Trust. Any views expressed on this page are solely those of the named fundraiser and/or their donors, not Vine Trust.
Fundraising Activity
I am going to be fundraising for my school expedition to go to Tanzania in 2027. The trip will be organised by The Vine Trust and it will take us to Moshi where we will be working with members of the local community to build much needed, sustainable accommodation. Not only will this help provide a stable house for a family this will give us a good insight into how people in Moshi live their lives.
How I'm raising money
To raise funds to get to Africa, I am helping my 90-year-old grandfather complete the final stage of his 75-mile walk across Scotland and taking part in the challenging Creag Dhubh Hill Race. These activities are part of my efforts to raise the money needed for the trip. I am also avalible as a solo piper for events and personal hire.
