A word from the Vine Trust...
Calum is fundraising in aid of their Vine Trust School Expedition to Tanzania. Vine Trust School Expeditions are an opportunity for students to make a real and lasting difference to Tanzanian communities living in poverty. Working closely with our in-country partners, volunteers construct individual family homes for some of the world's most vulnerable people - providing shelter, security and hope, and empowering communities to achieve a brighter future.
Donations made through this page will contribute towards the cost of Calum's expedition, including international flights, accommodation, food, in-country transport, and the purchase of construction materials and resources. Any additional funds raised will go towards future Vine Trust construction projects and the development of Vine Trust's programmes.
Many thanks for supporting Vine Trust – together we are helping to support vulnerable communities through effective and sustainable development.
Please note: Vine Trust does not accept responsibility for the fundraising activities of persons fundraising in aid of their expedition or the Trust. Any views expressed on this page are solely those of the named fundraiser and/or their donors, not Vine Trust.
Fundraising Activity
I have been fortunate enough to have been chosen as part of a group from Peebles High School, to travel to Tanzania on a two week expedition, in conjunction with the Vine Trust. While in Tanzania I will be involved in the building of a new family home and any fundraising will help with the purchase of building materials and supplies. We will also be involved in various other community projects in and around the town of Moshi. I am really looking forward to being able to play my part in making a positive change to the lives of others in Tanzania who are less fortunate than ourselves.
How I'm raising money
In August of 2026, I am walking the full length of the River Tweed over several days which is 97 miles in total. I will also be running things like car boot sales and stalls, and putting money aside from part-time jobs to raise as much as possible.
