A word from the Vine Trust...
Maggie is fundraising in aid of their Vine Trust Building Expedition to Tanzania. Vine Trust Building Expeditions are an opportunity for volunteers to make a real and lasting difference to Tanzanian communities living in poverty. Working closely with our in-country partners, volunteers construct individual family homes and larger children’s homes for some of the world’s most vulnerable people - providing shelter, security and hope, and empowering communities to achieve a brighter future.
Donations made through this page will contribute towards the cost of Maggie's expedition, including international flights, accommodation, food, in-country transport, and the purchase of construction materials and resources. Any additional funds raised will go towards future Vine Trust construction projects and the development of Vine Trust's Tanzanian Building programme.

Fundraising Activity
A team of 19 volunteers from Highland Spring Group will be taking part in a 2 week home-building expedition to Moshi, Tanzania in October 2018 with international volunteering charity Vine Trust. We will make a real difference within the local community by supporting Vine Trust’s local partners in the construction of homes for vulnerable children and families. We will be digging the foundations, mixing cement and building walls with fellow local builders
We will be fundraising the full amount of our trip as a team; any donations we receive either as a team or individually will go towards the full costs of the team’s expedition, including international flights, in-country daily costs & construction materials for the homes.
Our goal is to fundraise at least £44,745 over the next 9 months and we are calling upon your help to do so!
How I'm raising money
We are launching our fundraising campaign with a sponsored cyle of the distance from Scotland to Tanzania: almost 5,000 miles! Keep up to date on our fundraising efforts and events here.
