Street Children

Children living on the streets of Lima and other Peruvian cities are often the victims of brutal violence, sexual exploitation, abject neglect, substance abuse and human rights violations. We have established programmes which offer practical help, access to education and provide residential accommodation.

Medical Project
Many of the remote communities in the Peruvian Amazon have little or no access to healthcare provision. We are working in conjunction with local health care workers to develop a primary health care service for up to 100,000 people.

Micro Enterprise
The Vine Trust is committed to developing self sufficiency in the communities we work in through sustainable revenue projects. This avoids building dependency and benefits the local community through employment, service and self respect.
Over the years investment has been made, by providing start up capital, for a car park and taxi business in Lima, a rickshaw business and water purification plant in Iquitos and holiday bungalows at Kawai. A bakery has also been opened in Lima and has already begun producing very encouraging returns.
Micro Enterprise is vital to incremental growth and is a key philosophy and strategy of the Vine Trust.
