Vine Trust: Connecting People to Make a Difference

Peru Project

The Peru Partnership is the flagship project of the Vine trust. We believe we are developing a model of international partnership which empowers local people to drive sustainable solutions to some of the huge problems their communities face.

We work very closely with our partners Union Biblica Del Peru (Scripture Union Peru) who are an interdenominational voluntary organisation. We collaborate with three main areas of work: Street Children, Medical and Micro Enterprise.

In 2000 the Trust decided to support the development of Street Children’s work in Peru through developing its partnership with SU Peru who have been working with street children for 20 years. In 2004, the first medical team from the UK went to work on the Amazon Hope medical ship.


Much has been achieved in terms of growing the range and activity of this partnership and major opportunities now present themselves to make a significant contribution to supporting some of the poorest children and most marginalised people in Peru.
