Dates for Inca Trail
The following dates are currently planned for Inca Trail Visits to Peru:
August 2008
October 2008
These dates include both the Inca Trail section of the visit and the optional extra Amazon trip to see and experience our projects (see below).
If you are not available to join us on these dates but would still like to go on an Inca Trail please get in touch and register your interest anyway. We may be able to arrange other trips if we have enough interest for a particular time of year.
The Vine Trusts new initiative is offering you the chance to take part in a sponsored trek on what is widely regarded as one of the world's best routes.
The four day trek takes you along passes of up to 4000 metres high before you descend into the breathtaking 'Lost City' of Machu Picchu. The trek is challenging but rewarding as you take time to marvel at the stunning scenery and Inca ruins.
The main part of the trip will last for 10 days which allows time to acclimatize to the altitude in the city of Cusco before embarking on the trek. After the 10 day visit we are offering participants the opportunity to extend their visit by an extra 3 nights and join us on a tour of our street children and medical projects around the Amazonian city of Iquitos. This will allow you the opportunity to see and experience our work in Peru and how your funds will be making a big difference.
The main costs of the trip will be as follows:
- the 10 day visit will cost £1450
- the 3 night optional extra visit to Iquitos to visit our projects will cost £250
- to take part participants will also need to raise an additional £1000 for the Peru Project.
If the idea of fundraising scares you then there is no need to worry as we will provide you with plenty of information and ideas.
