Trust Celebrates 25th Anniversary

It was with great pleasure that Vine Trust recently celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a reception and dinner in the Palace of Holyrood House, Edinburgh, in the presence of Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal.

Established in 1985, the Trust was set up as a direct response to the famine in Ethiopia. Rev Albert Bogle and volunteers from Bo'ness, central Scotland, set up 'Branches'- a charity shop which continues to trade today.

Over the past 25 years much has been achieved, particularly in Peru where together with our partners SU, we have developed street children work and a medical project which sees around 100,000 patients a year.

In her speech to the guests HRH looked back over some of these achievements as well as looking forward to the next 25 years!
