New Home and Global Citizenship Centre

Slideshow Images as the Barge Arrives in Leith

Vine Trust has embarked on creating a new and imaginative base for the Trust’s work and to  establish a centre for Global Citizenship which will play a key part in the Trust’s growing work with schools.

Thanks to the support of Forth Ports (who are providing a free berth) Archial Architects, Studioarc and a number of businesses great progress is being made. Based on an Ex MOD Barge the centre will provide an education resource centre, exhibition area, multi purpose meeting space and a permanent home for the Trusts offices as well as a focal point for training events for our supporters and volunteers.

The barge has just arrived in Leith where the work undertaken will take approximately six months. The completed barge due to be berthed adjacent to the new Edinburgh Tram Route in Spring 2011.

We are seeking help and support from businesses and foundations to enable the outfit of the barge to provide first rate facilities for the Trust’s work and to create a resource that will contribute greatly in “Connecting people in order to Change Lives”. If you can help with some of the work or would like to find out more please call 01875 812252 or email willie@vinetrust.org
