Juan's Story

Juan is a small street kid who entered SUPeru's the project at the Girasoles Street Centre in Lima. In his first few months at the centre Juan was very traumatised and withdrawn. He would not speak to anyone about his pain. Now, Juan has moved to live at SUPeru's Casa Girasoles centre and he is happy there. The simple things in life bring great contentment to many street children. At dinner one day, Juan was heard to say “Vientre lleno, feliz corazón” meaning “full belly, happy heart”.

Full bellies and happy hearts for children are important aspects of the overall aim of the Vine Trust in partnership with SU Peru. You can be part of this work through financial support and fundraising.
